Talder legal

Terms of Service

Last updated: November 3, 2026

1. Acceptance and Operator

By downloading, installing, creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using Talder (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Talder is operated under the name Talder Team by an independent service operator based in Italy (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms form an agreement between you and Talder Team. Questions may be sent to [email protected].

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum digital-consent age required in your country to use Talder. If local law requires authorization from a parent or legal guardian, you may use the App only with that authorization. Talder is not directed to children under 13 and does not provide a parental-consent verification service.

By using the App, you represent that you satisfy the age and legal-capacity requirements that apply to you.

3. Account Registration and Security

You may register with email and password, Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or TikTok Login. You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials and devices, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Saved sign-in information may be used to restore your session and switch between accounts you are authorized to use. Recovery and verification codes expire and are limited to their intended action. A password reset, provider revocation or security action may invalidate sessions; never share a password, verification code or recovery code with another user or someone claiming to sell a badge.

Phone numbers: Linking a number is optional. Use only a number you control and confirm the requested code before it expires. A phone number cannot be linked to multiple Talder accounts at the same time. Verification confirms access to that number at that time; it is not identity, age or verified-badge certification. Supported countries, mobile-line requirements, delivery routes and security limits can affect availability. Disposable-email domain and delivery checks can also apply to new registrations and email changes; contact support if a legitimate address is rejected.

A verification or messaging provider and the relevant carrier process the requested code delivery. A reserve route may be used after confirmed quota non-delivery or when the primary route does not support the destination; delivery time is not guaranteed, and an uncertain outcome does not automatically start another SMS. An unfinished SMS flow can resume after reopening the app without a new automatic send. Once you start verification during setup, you may need to resolve that verification flow before proceeding; an existing linked number stays in place unless a replacement is successfully verified.

Linking makes your profile discoverable to people who already have the number through contact matching, subject to blocks. The current app has no separate phone-discoverability switch or standalone number-removal action. You can verify a replacement, delete the account, or contact us about a deletion request. Removing device Contacts permission affects your address-book access, not another user’s ability to match your linked number. Historical clients and links may use a compatible older matching path.

You may not create accounts to impersonate another person, evade a suspension, scrape the service, spam, harass, or exploit other users. Usernames, custom IDs, profile images, badges, and styling must not mislead, infringe rights, or violate these Terms. We may rename, restrict, or remove violating profile elements.

4. Service Features

Talder provides direct and group messaging, image attachments and captions, view-once media, voice messages, location messages, calls, real-time Push-to-Talk, groups, friend discovery, optional contact matching, optional live location and battery sharing, optional music activity through Last.fm or Apple Music, profile customization, Waves with text or voice replies, push notifications, Live Activities, and premium features. Availability depends on the app version, device, permissions, account state and supported services.

Supported one-to-one talks and calls may apply a voice effect selected on the sending device before audio is transmitted. Supported history entries can identify the effect used. Effects can change intelligibility and are provided for communication and entertainment; they must not be used for fraud, impersonation, deception, harassment, or unlawful purposes.

Waves are user-generated audio content; replies may contain text or audio. Visibility, delivery, playback, transcription, reply and moderation behavior may vary by feature state, privacy settings, device permissions, network conditions and server availability. Standard one-to-one talks may be limited to five minutes, and Talder may apply other rate, storage, upload or talk-duration limits to protect reliability and safety.

Telepathy: An accepted invitation can enable real-time draft sharing with a friend. While active, that friend may see what you type before you press Send, including words you later edit or delete. Either user can disable Telepathy. Turning it off or deleting a draft cannot undo what the other person has already seen or recorded. Active relationships and pending invitations can count toward the applicable free or Premium limit.

Waves, transcription and translation: Waves may be distributed to people outside your friends through the feed. Transcripts, detected language and requested translations help make content accessible but may be inaccurate; do not rely on them for medical, legal, emergency or other critical decisions. Supported translation may send transcript text to a third-party AI translation service or use Apple’s local translation fallback, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Reply settings affect who can submit new replies and do not erase existing replies or make a published Wave private.

A view can count when a Wave becomes visible, even if it is muted or not played to the end. View/listen totals are not a guarantee of complete listening; playback progress, completion and replays can be recorded separately. Counts and supported listener details can be shown through the feature.

Waves normally remain available for 24 hours after publication; replies have their own 24-hour period from publication and can outlast the parent Wave. Removal, blocking, moderation or technical conditions can limit availability sooner. Expiry is not a guarantee of immediate deletion of every technical copy or of copies captured by other users. Do not use Talder as the only backup for important content.

Music: The current Spotify-branded activity feature reads Last.fm listening information after you link Last.fm and configure Spotify Scrobbling there; it does not require direct Spotify authorization in Talder. Last.fm can provide listening indications while Talder is closed and may report delayed, stale or missing information, including for repeated tracks. Sharing does not provide music-streaming rights or guarantee playback. You control Talder music visibility and can disconnect the Last.fm link separately; opening an external track requires the relevant music service and any access it requires.

Photos and location: Gallery access can be limited to the photos you select in iOS. Opening the attachment menu does not send your library or a location automatically; review the selection, caption and recipient before confirming. Camera controls and zoom vary by device. A fallback map center is not your detected position, and location accuracy and refresh are not guaranteed.

The saved choice to share location is separate from the availability of a recent coordinate. A friend may see that sharing is enabled while your current position is temporarily unavailable; that state is not proof of a location, movement or safety.

Profiles and links: Eligible profile cards can appear in discovery suggestions. An account-history date can be visible to non-friends; older dates may be estimated from the earliest stored outgoing talk or assigned historically, and some accounts have no date. It is not a birth date or a guarantee of continuous use. Contact support for a correction. Link previews may contact the destination and image hosts before you open a link and are not an endorsement or security certification. Copying a message or ID creates a separate clipboard copy that deleting the original cannot recall.

Feedback and assistance: Surveys are optional, account-linked feedback rather than anonymous submissions. Answers are transmitted only on final confirmation and can be reviewed by authorized administrators, including comments without names displayed in the summary. The invitation uses a locally saved active-use total. FAQ and shake-to-open assistance can open the official Talder chat or a report email; opening these tools does not automatically send a message or upload diagnostic attachments. Review the email and any prefilled app/device details before sending.

Notifications: Supported versions offer communication alerts, Telepathy and Wave updates, low-battery alerts, talk suggestions and reminders about visible friend activity. Categories can be controlled in settings, with additional friend-specific controls where supported. Talk suggestions and friend-activity reminders are enabled by default when no choice is saved. This description is not a request for, or evidence of, consent to promotional messaging where express consent is required.

Talder includes end-to-end encryption infrastructure, but its general rollout is currently disabled. Until E2EE is enabled for a supported flow, content is protected in transit using TLS but is not end-to-end encrypted. When enabled, E2EE is used only for the content types, clients, recipients, groups, and rollout states that support it. Legacy, compatibility, notification, metadata, and other disclosed operational flows are not end-to-end encrypted. The Privacy Policy explains these limits.

5. User-Generated Content and Safety

You are responsible for messages, audio, images, profile information, location, and other content you create or share. You must have the rights and permissions needed to share it, including consent before sharing another person’s private information, image, voice, or location.

You may not publish or transmit illegal, exploitative, sexually abusive, threatening, hateful, defamatory, privacy-invasive, malicious, or rights-infringing content; promote self-harm or violence; groom or exploit minors; distribute spam or malware; or use Talder for stalking, fraud, non-consensual recording, or doxxing.

You can block abusive users in the App. Report a profile from its profile header, or report a Wave or reply using its report action; you can also email [email protected] with enough information to investigate. We may review reports, restrict features, preserve relevant evidence when legally permitted, remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts. Emergency or immediate-danger situations should be reported to local emergency services, not Talder support.

A verified badge reflects an account-verification decision and its recorded date; it is not a guarantee that all content is true, an endorsement, or a safety certification. Verification is separate from Premium and can be reviewed or withdrawn when the account no longer meets the relevant criteria. See our verified-account information. Do not buy, sell, impersonate or misrepresent verification.

6. Your Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, cache, reproduce, transmit, create requested transcripts or translations, encrypt, decrypt where technically required for a disclosed non-E2EE flow, and display that content only as necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, moderate, and provide Talder. This license ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, except for lawful retention, backups, security evidence, and copies already delivered to other users. It does not grant us a separate right to sell your communications or use them to train our own AI models.

View-once media limits ordinary repeated access inside Talder but cannot prevent screenshots, screen recording, camera capture, recipient-device backups, or external recording.

Talder software, design, logos, and branding are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant permission to copy, reverse engineer where prohibited, redistribute, or misuse them.

7. Premium Subscriptions and Trials

Talder may offer monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. The App Store purchase sheet displays the product, current price, billing period, trial or introductory offer when available and eligible, and renewal terms before confirmation.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. A free or discounted trial, if offered, converts to the displayed paid subscription when the offer ends unless you cancel before renewal. Eligibility is determined by Apple and an offer may not be available to every account. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can manage, cancel, change, or restore them through Apple’s subscription tools. Apple handles billing and refunds under its policies.

Deleting your Talder account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it separately through Apple if you do not want future renewal. Subscription status and signed transaction identifiers may be verified with Apple and synchronized with our server to assign access and prevent duplicate or fraudulent claims.

Purchase verification can include an account-linked purchase identifier, transaction environment and Apple server notifications about renewals, expiration, refunds or revocation. Linking a second account does not create a second independent subscription or allow a purchase to be reassigned to an unrelated account. Test purchases and offers follow the conditions Apple displays for the environment being used.

You can restore purchases from the app’s paywalls or Premium screen using the Apple Account associated with the purchase. Restore and verification are not a new purchase, but access must still correspond to a valid transaction and an authorized Talder account. A transaction cannot be claimed by unrelated accounts merely by switching profiles. Temporary verification problems do not mean you must purchase the same entitlement again; retry or contact support if access does not recover.

Premium benefits may include voice effects, volume controls, profile or app customization, multi-account access, expanded Telepathy limits or other features shown in the App. Availability and sharing between linked accounts follow the specific product and account rules displayed in the app; Premium does not automatically grant a verified badge. The server may reject a Premium-only action or remove access when the entitlement expires, is refunded, revoked, or cannot be verified. Paid access does not create ownership of the underlying software or content.

Features, prices, trials, and availability may change, but changes do not shorten an already-paid entitlement except where required for security, law, refund, revocation, or App Store action.

8. Third-Party Services

Talder relies on mobile-platform, sign-in and purchase services, cloud hosting, database and media storage, transactional email, phone verification and SMS delivery, optional telephone-line validation, European-hosted product analytics, AI translation, and music-catalog/artwork services, as described in the Privacy Policy. User-selected integrations include Apple, Google Sign-In, TikTok/ByteDance and Last.fm. Spotify services may be used through Spotify Scrobbling on Last.fm, external music links or a legacy connection. Your use of third-party login, music, purchase, platform and notification services may also be governed by their terms and privacy policies.

We do not control third-party availability or decisions. Disconnecting or revoking a third-party account may disable the corresponding Talder feature.

9. Privacy

The Privacy Policy is part of these Terms and explains what personal data is processed, why, for how long, with whom it is shared, and how to exercise your rights. Optional permissions and sharing features can be disabled as described there.

The app uses limited manually selected product-analytics events with pseudonymous installation and session identifiers, not automatic recording of your screen or communications. The Privacy Policy describes the analytics service, local buffering, account-linked surveys, diagnostic/version checks and privacy requests. Accepting these Terms is not consent to processing for which the law requires a separate choice.

10. Service Availability and Changes

Talder may experience maintenance, network interruption, provider outages, beta defects, delayed notifications, or feature changes. We may update, limit, replace, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, including for security, legal, technical, provider, or App Store requirements.

Talder is not an emergency, dispatch, safety-monitoring, medical, or guaranteed location-tracking service. Push notifications, location refreshes, battery status, online presence, and Live Activities may be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate and must not be relied on to protect life, health, or property.

11. Suspension and Account Deletion

You may delete your account through the App’s account settings. Deletion removes or deactivates associated data from active systems as described in the Privacy Policy, but cannot erase content already delivered to another person’s device and does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Account deletion removes the account’s survey responses and local-service phone links/challenges. It does not automatically delete an identity record created by an external phone-verification provider, or erase permitted security records, previously sent installation-based analytics, backups or support email. Contact us for assistance with related requests; the Privacy Policy explains the separate retention rules.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account that violates these Terms, creates safety or security risk, infringes rights, abuses the service, or must be restricted by law or a platform provider. A ban or suspension disables access to the account and is not the same as voluntary account deletion; account data may be retained or removed as described in the Privacy Policy. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice or an opportunity to contact support.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Talder is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free or completely secure service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded in your country.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Talder Team is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss caused by unavailable communications, inaccurate status or location, third-party services, unauthorized capture by recipients, or events outside our reasonable control.

Where liability may legally be limited, our aggregate liability arising from Talder will not exceed the amount you paid for Talder during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or mandatory consumer liability that cannot be excluded.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, safety, or provider changes. We will show the new date and, where required, provide prominent notice or request renewed acceptance. Changes do not retroactively reduce rights already accrued. If you do not accept a material update, stop using Talder and delete your account before the update becomes effective.

15. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections, choice-of-law rules, and court jurisdiction available in your country of habitual residence. Nothing in these Terms prevents an eligible consumer from using a competent consumer-protection authority or legally available alternative dispute-resolution procedure.
